How can i overclock my presario SR100T?

its not modified surrounded by anyway, so it doens't have the features an evga or something would own. is there anyway to still overclock this b*tch? its a Pentium (R) 4 2.80 ghz, 512MB RAM.

Why bother even trying to overclock a Presario? If you succeed, you'll freshly make it unstable.



The processor speed is base on the FSB speed and a clock multiplier that's locked on the processor. The item that can be controlled is the FSB speed. However, the BIOS on a Presario's OEM board would not have the faculty to crank up the FSB speed in increments, the bearing the BIOS would on a retail motherboard. I suspect you'll need a 3rd-party BIOS to acquire the incremental controls you need for overclocking. Then conceivably you can bump it by 5 or 10 percent.

i agree, i think it would overheat unless you put surrounded by an advanced cooling system, compaq's, like almost every other key corporation computer, never took much stock in cooling
