How do I format a Mac intricate drive to Windows?

I just this minute bought a 250GB hard drive for my Apple iMac, and I want to clutch the 160GB hard drive explicitly in in that now, and brand it formatted to a PC (windows XP) How do I do that? I checked the disk utility, and it only will tolerate me format it to a Mac format.

PS, I have an external sturdy drive case that the 160GB is surrounded by.

When you start the Windows installation process, it will give you a chronicle of drives and partitions. You'll obligation to delete all of the antediluvian partitions so that it can be turned into a Windows compatible format.
when you install window it will auto format drive
You can use Boot Camp.

In no time, you should be able to choose how much space to allocate and hold Windows underway.

but to be exact not free, like Boot Camp, but lone a trial.
Install your hard drive into your WINxp PC.

the drive is not specific to mac or PC..plug within the drive and format it, your done!
The Windows XP disk should have the formatting software on it.
