How do you format ntfs?

to dance back to Fat 32? Ntfs have NOT proven to me to be better than Fat32. I have win XP home oem. I enjoy win me. Or I have win 98SE

How do you format ntfs?

NTFS (New Technology File System) is what you want to use for anything above WinME. It be created for WinXP and above because they are NT based. If you really want FAT32 it is an preference when formatting in any OS. It requires a complete loss of facts on the partition since it is a format. Fat32 is not an alternative in Vista for an installed drive. On others, when you start the OS disc, and it ask for the partition within is an option to transfer. In there is the formatting inspection. Due to security of the OS it is imprudent to use FAT for XP.
You need to power your PC by using the WinXP disc. When the setup screen apears remove the NTFS screen and re-create it, in direct to allow you to format it with FAT32
Warning - maximum FAT32 volume that can be formatted via WinXP is 32 GB. For larger drives you will own to partition the disk.
who vote that NTFS not good, is a short time ago u dunno how to use it

create two partition, one screen ntfs , another FAT32, window xp create at first hedge, so

c: drive - NTFS

d: drive - FAT32

when you first restart your computer, press DEL go surrounded by to BIOS, change boot sequence to boot cd-rom first, afterwards save setting again

consequently restart again, system boot cd rom window installation cd, next blue screen appear, afterwards delete all partition, make them adjectives to unpartition space, then you create 2 partition, one set to NTFS, another FAT32
