How do you reformat your computer in need the rest disk, but beside a disk for window xp?

i hold windows xp home ed on my notebook and its kinda old and theres a virus on it or something...its in recent times acting up and i wanna reformat it but i dont have the rest disk, but i do have a copy of the window xp professional ed...so how do i go going on for reformating the computer? i know that i have to gather the files that i want before starting.so ive save them to an external hd.wuta i do next?

put the cd surrounded by your drive and reboot. follow the instructions.



if it boots up like it generally does, you need to turn into your computers setup, which comes up before window loads, nd change the boot proclaim so the cd is first.
Sounds like you in recent times need to verbs up your hard drive. Do a virus scan, adware scan and spyware scan. Go to start>programs>accessories>sys... tools>disk cleanup and verbs the C drive. Next do a System restore from the same knit as above. Go back surrounded by time to a place where you know the notebook was ok. Restore to that point (bold date). Then once specifically done do a disk defragmentation also from the same connection above. Do this about 5 times until it take approximately 1-2 min to accomplish.
