How come a DVD will play on abiding computer and not others?

The movie will play at home on my computer but not at work. Hey?

How come a DVD will play on abiding computer and not others?

I enjoy got this problem where on earth the burned(dvd-R) dvd will not work on both my laptops but it works on my PC. Your problem might be different though.

it is possible that the drive at work is not a dvd drive. it must own capabilities to play the dvd.
engineer sure ur dvd is not region formatted other than 1.
it depends on whether or not the computer have a DVD-ROM installed on it. if it does, it'll play, and if not, it won't.
see if the work computer can play dvd's otherwise i doubt that your boss would be comfortable about getting a hot disk drive
