The computer is a Dell (Windows 2000 Me)
How can I demolish everything on my computer, because it won't permit me reboot when i try to do this?
If you are wanting to modernize your OS, then simply drop you install compact disc in and reboot to it. I'm pretty sure that adjectives Windows installations (Even ME) will ask you about formatting the thorny drive prior to install. Just say yes and you are on the passageway. If you want to just delete everything on the unyielding drive and use it as a second drive, then you will entail to install it to a machine that already have an OS installed on it and then simply right click on the drive from an Explorer window and select format. A spur-of-the-moment format will just delete the directory structure. The full format will restructure the block structure and will take a touch longer to complete.
And of course, once you format that drive, you will not be capable of boot from it until you install another OS on it.
Hope that helps you out.
lift BIG magnet and place it next to knotty drive...
