How can you overclock a P4MAM-V MSI motherboard from 533MHz to 800MHz?
How can you overclock a P4MAM-V MSI motherboard from 533MHz to 800MHz?
My guess would be beside a fire extinguisher.
I don't believe it is possible on that board...it only supports 400 - 533 FSB you would be lucky to procure 667 with clocking at full potential.
If it is possible after you would need to budge into the BIOS and figure out the multiplier settings and increase the front side bus and voltages properly. Motherboards usually are limited to the amount of clocking it is competent to do...and 533 - 800 is quite a bit.
I guess you tired of that CPU that will most probable smoke the cpu and you can get a latest cpu or mother board with a unusual cpu
You are talking almost 2 different things. You are talking in the region of the memory side of the mobo. You can not simply overclock the memory by that much. You might be able to attain the memory OC to around 575-600 @ the most. Plus 533MHz is the highest the board will adopt or use so you might have a problem in attendance.I have overclock CPU but as much as 46% increase surrounded by speed and them memory @ 11% increase. I had a AMD FX-62 (2.8GHz) overclocked to 4.10Ghz and it stayed around 57C (134F) underneath heavy nouns...But memory is a bit more complicated to OC..Thanks
