How can I verbs background from my 10 year ripened PC to my alien one?

From my 10 year outmoded PC (no USB) I'd like to verbs 2 Simply Accounting files (each about 7MB) to my different PC. I went to Staples 5 times and every time I terminated up with the wrong cable. I did not use my ripened PC for the internet so transfering files this way is without a solution. And by the way if you would own an idea almost a cable it has to be male/male or male/USB. Can anyone aid me?

How can I verbs background from my 10 year ripened PC to my alien one?

Method 1

If the old PC have a network card (or win one), you can connect both the PC using a crossover cable to setup a private network & copy the files you entail to the new PC.

Method 2

Another likelihood would be to remove the HDD from old PC,

loose change the jumper to slave, connnect the HDD to tentative PC (you will have to use IDE connector) as slave. When the PC boot up, the BIOS will pick up the 2nd HDD, your OS will also recognise the 2nd HDD.

Open window explorer, select the 2nd drive and copy the files you need.
