How can I increase my computer's virtual memory?

My computer have been crashing just now because it is running out of memory.

How can I increase my computer's virtual memory?

It would be better to add more physical memory, instead of virtual memory (physical memory is outstandingly faster). If you can't, though, just follow the instructions surrounded by the above answers. I, however, would recommend letting the system manage the virtual memory, unless that chance starts giving you problems.
Instead of having window do it automatically. Select a specific size like 4000MB.

That is within control panel, system, advance, settings, mortgage settings, and finally Total Paging file. Do forget to click the set past the OK.
You can add more physical RAM to your notebook or you can conversion the amount of virtual memory your system has by going into Control Panel > System > Advanced > Performance Settings > Advanced > Change

I believe the common rule is to have the virtual memory set to a minimum of 1.5x your system's physical memory.
